Card payments (including Klarna) carry a 3% processing fee on your order total after any coupon is applied. It shows as its own line in the order summary, so you can see your full total before you pay.
Here’s why it exists: card processing in the research space costs us about 18% of every card order. The 3% fee only offsets a small part of that cost, and we absorb the rest.
If you’d rather skip the fee, Zelle and Same-Day Bank Payment (ACH) have no processing fee and save you 5% instead. Optional Loti Labs Shipping Protection and any paid shipping upgrade are also listed as separate lines.

When you choose to pay with a US bank account, the transaction is securely processed using Mastercard credentialled login during checkout. Orders under $750 typically ship same day if placed before 1pm. Orders of $750 or more are held until the payment fully clears with your bank, then they ship.
