CJC-1295 is a synthetically modified and tetrasubstituted form of Growth Hormone-Releasing Hormone (GHRH1-29). The substitution of four amino acids from the core moiety makes CJC-1295 peptide more resistant to cleaving by proteolytic enzymes.

It contains a chain of 30 amino acids, a molecular weight of 3368.7, and molecular formula of C152H252N44O42 . CJC-1295 works by binding to serum albumin a, the addition of Drug Affinity Complex or DAC prolongs the half-life of CJC-1295 as well as the duration of action in animal test subjects.

Mechanism of Action of CJC-1295 with DAC

Studies of CJC-1295 peptide using animal test subjects shows how this peptide works by interacting with the Growth Hormone (GH), Insulin-like Growth Factor 1 (IGF-1), and Dipeptidyl Amino Peptidase-IV (DPP-IV) enzyme.

DPP-IV is an antigenic enzyme involved for things such as signal transduction, apoptosis or programmed cell death, and immune system regulation. It has also a direct effect on the half-life of Growth Hormone (GH) cutting it to just under seven minutes.

CJC-1295 has shown to reduce the production of the DPP-IV enzyme. This results in a feedback loop where the half-life GH and IGF-1 is prolonged and last more than seven days after administration on animal test subjects.

Decreased Body Fat. The effect of CJC-1295 on DPP-IV and GHRH has also been found to play an important role in lipolysis or the reduction of body fat. It has been found to increase lipolysis in test subjects thus reducing their total body fat.

Improves Quality of Sleep. Although there is no way to quantitatively measure the quality of sleep animal subjects gets, this effect is based on the reasoning that the elevated rate of protein synthesis is compensated by elevated amount of deep sleep as well.
